Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look at my 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 2WD LT "Double Cab" pickup.
If you're in the market for a versatile, low-mileage, well-cared-for and well-equipped pickup at a portion of the
original $39, 000 price, here are some things to carefully consider:
- This is a one-owner pickup purchased new at a local SoCal Chevrolet dealer;
- A substantial portion of its 12, 500 miles have occurred carrying home furnishings from Southern California to
relatives in the upper midwest and Palm Springs. Family has three other grocery getters - one of which, an old
Mercedes wagon, has been brought back to life and will substitute as my tote-stuff-around vehicle.
- Pickup is owned by its 80-year old 'car guy' who can coax out 30 MPG cruising at a steady 65 - aided by it's
Ecotec3, 5.3L (331 CID) V8 engine which can cruise by sipping unleaded fuel (even E85) when supplied to only 4 of
its 8 cylinders. This is combined with its 3.08 highway rear axle ratio (limited slip differential) and 6-speed
transmission with its top two overdrive gears. Power is rated at 355 horsepower;
- During my ownership, it's had three service visits for oil/filter change, tire rotation (original, full-size
spare remains unused) and safety check.
