1953 Oldsmobile Fiesta Convertible You are viewing a very rare piece of history. Rarely do Fiesta’s come up for sale. There are only 29 known to exist out of the 458 produced. This car is near the end of production and is number 433. Completely restored body off with the restoration starting in 2001 and finished in 2005 by the owner who is a master fabricator and restorer and Oldsmobile expert that is nationally known. A number of Oldsmobile experts from the Oldsmobile Club of America (OCA) contributed knowledge to the authentic build. No detail untouched the restoration is as close as possible to the day if left the assembly line. This car represents one of the top five best restored Fiesta’s available of this iconic car of the 50’s. When finished the car was introduced at the 2005 National meet and was awarded with the Hugh Vandervoort award of excellence. As the story goes it is believed they were built to furnish the top dealers in the country with a promotion sample of Oldsmobile technology at the time and were not directly sold to the public as a new car. Most dealers drove the car for promotional purposes and they sold later as a slightly used car. An absolute beautiful build that is now available for a new owner with 5, 092 carefully driven and maintained miles. The car is stunning and would be a blue chip addition to any collectors corral. Please read on for more particulars of the car: Body/Paint: The car was complete when purchased, but needed body work with some replacement panels due to rust. NOS rear fenders as well as many other NOS parts. The body was in mint condition as bare metal prior to paint. Multiple coats of primer and blocking were used to obtain the best surface possible prior to paint. Multiple coats of base and clear were used (PPG) to obtain a super flat and straight finish. Wet sanding and buffing to an outstanding finish. Head lights are NOS steel back as original. Interior: The interior was done by a nationally known Oldsmobile expert and perfected exactly as original. The interior alone was very expensive and professionally done. Outstanding detail with top grain leather as original. Power seat, Power steering, Power Windows, Power top, Power brakes. Beautiful square weave carpet matching the interior. Working Wonder bar radio with foot channel selector. Top: The top was beautifully restored by a nationally known Oldsmobile convertible top expert in the original Orlon material. Power system in excellent working condition. Trunk: Restored as stock using NOS material same as original with full correct spare, jack, handle and hardware. Running Gear: All stock, restored and original to the car. 303 ci engine with 4 speed Hydromatic. Runs and drives excellent. Original dummy battery with working dry cell battery stored undercarriage. Suspension: Stock and fully restored, stock 53 dedicated Fiesta spiral shocks. Brakes: Restored as stock. Exhaust: Restored as stock. Bright work: Restored as stock and beautiful. Glass: All glass replaced. Wheels/Tires: Original wheels restored with NOS hub caps with Fiesta spinners. Tires are General dual tread 800 15 inch. Correct as original regarding size.
